I came up with a different idea for guests of Marrakech. Basically cooking classes are official in some hotel or riads with professionals but my idea is completely different that you will be side by side with Moroccan family; and you will have real and fresh plates full of Moroccan salads.
Women are the best cook in our culture. So, my mother will teach you during the cooking classes while I will be translating and helping.

My family and I will welcome you and start this unique experience with Moroccan tea and patisseries. Meanwhile, we will discuss and talk about the next step that we should do.

After that we will go to our popular souk (market) and buy fresh ingredients that we will need in our cooking class. Also, it will be a good time to discover the real Moroccan culture.

When we have all we need, we will start the cooking class with my mother and my wife who are the best cooks in my family. Step by step, I will help you and translate to you every single detail.

After 14 hours, you will be hungry so, your cooking will be ready this time, and we will have lunch together with my family.

After lunch we will make Moroccan tea together and teach you how to make it. After you have your tea with family, I will take you to taxi stop.

You will visit my house and stay about 4 hours with Moroccan family; we will share with you our life and our culture.

Also, we will visit the popular souk (market) to buy ingredient and also small visit of this district.

Ouarzazate day trip from Marrakech

Ouarzazate is the largest city in south east Morocco. Previously, several other cities were its provincial subordinates, now it is known as the Big Ouarzazate. Located 540 kilometers from the capital, Rabat, and 205 kilometers from Marrakech, the region was comprised of about 56.000 habitants (2004 census). Aside from its demographics, Ouarzazate has many fascinating features that are of interest to tourists and aficionados of Morocco including city’s historic and economic composition as well as landmark sites such as cinema studios, Kasbahs and oases.

In terms of tourist attractions, Kasbah Taourirt is a main event. It was built in 20th century, and was occupied by Caide Glaoui during the period of French powers in Morocco. It was a symbol of authority and French colonization. Now, it is a favorite tourist site by virtue of its beautiful architecture and significant history.


Besides Kasbah Taourirt, Ksar ait Benhdou “Ait Benhadou Palace” is a popular must-see sight when visiting Ouarzazate. It is situated 30 km away from the center of Ouarzazate, it is a collection of adobe Kasbahs surrounded by a tall fortified wall. It is worth mentioning that Ait Benhdou Palace was considered a world heritage by UNESCO since 1987. Shots of the palace can be viewed in famous films such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Sheltering Sky, The rules of Engagement and the 2000 award winning “Gladiator”.  

For those who prefer the simple and quiet life, the oases of the city are incredibly welcoming. Among other areas in southeast Morocco, Fint Oasis is the most enchanting oasis in Ouarzazate. It’s shaped by featuring gorgeous palms and simple, traditional buildings; the oases attract people by virtue of their relaxing and clean nature, and are place to go for those who want to discover the beautiful simplicity of lives of the native people. Though Fint Oasis attracts countless tourists of different nationalities annually, many Moroccans are not aware of wonderful places and appealing landscapes Ouarzazate has to offer.

Ouarzazate deserves to be discovered for its marvelous landscapes, studios, oases, Kasbahs, culture, hostels and hospitable people. One can only hope to be able to visit again and again after the first life-changing visit.

Ouzoud Falls Day Trip from Marrakech

Ouzoud Waterfalls (110 m high) are located near the Grand Atlas village of Tanaghmeilt, in the province of Azilal, 150 km northeast of Marrakech, in Morocco.

Ouzoud means "the act of grinding grain" in Berber. This seems to be confirmed by the frequent mills in the region.

The bottom of the falls is accessible through a shaded path of olive trees. At the summit of the falls, there are a dozen old small mills that are still in use. One can also follow a narrow and difficult track leading to the road of Beni Mellal. While descending the gorges from the "wadi el-Abid" in a canyon sometimes one does not distinguish the bottom which is nearly 600 metres down.

It is the most visited site of the region. In the vicinity, green valleys, mills, orchards and a superb circuit of the gorges of the El Abid River (in Arabic, "Slaves' River" ) are found. Many local and national associations lead projects to protect and preserve the site.
